If there’s one thing we love at Epic Productions, it’s bringing a vision to life—and Chargebee’s Revenue Kickoff Meeting in Bangkok was nothing short of legendary. Three days of keynotes, breakouts, unforgettable experiences, and a whole lot of video game magic? Count us in.

Navigating Global Event Production: Why It Pays to Work with the Right Team
Bringing an event to life in a foreign country isn’t just about logistics—it’s about knowing how to get things done, even when the answer isn’t obvious. That’s where working with a seasoned production team really makes a difference.
Thailand, for example, is an incredible destination, but event production here comes with challenges like:
🛑 Navigating permissions (like getting approval to host an event in an Embassy’s Gardens).
🛑 Understanding local business practices to source vendors that align with the experience we’re creating.
🛑 Coordinating cultural elements to ensure we’re integrating the location in an authentic way.
🛑 Importing attendee giveaways, which meant dealing with Thai customs, negotiating with brokers, and managing import fees to make sure everything arrived on time and didn’t get stuck in bureaucracy.
Because we’ve worked in international markets before, we know how to move quickly, cut through red tape, and make the impossible happen. Whether it was ensuring the market vendors were set up for success, handling import logistics, or getting to the dinner cruise boat early to transform the space into a Chargebee-branded experience.
Welcome to the Game: The Kickoff Reception

The Welcome Reception had to set the tone for an epic week, and honestly, this might be one of our favorite events we’ve ever produced.
Picture this: A Thai Market, held in the stunning Portuguese Embassy gardens, complete with hand-built bamboo stalls, local vendors, and some of the most beautiful decor and lighting elements. Attendees didn’t just walk into a party—they stepped into an experience.
Guests could wander through the market, picking up everything from handmade Thai candy (made right in front of them!) to the fun elephant pants, incense, and candle sets—all paid for with custom Chargebee Bucks we designed just for the event. It was immersive, it was interactive, and it was pure magic.
Of course, pulling this off wasn’t all fun and games. We had to:
✔ Get approval from the Embassy (no easy feat).
✔ Make sure the grounds were treated for mosquitos well in advance.
✔ Find local vendors willing to sell at a corporate event.
But seeing attendees dive right in, exploring the market, meeting vendors, and soaking up the atmosphere? Totally worth it.
Leveling Up the Experience: Event Branding & Interactive Elements

One of the most significant ways we immersed attendees in the Level-Up theme was through custom event branding and interactive experiences.
🚀 We designed massive 9-foot-high printed columns throughout the venue, each representing different stages of leveling up, featuring the custom video game characters and worlds we created.
📸 Attendees could actually step into these game worlds with interactive photo opportunities designed to bring the theme to life.
🎮 To make it feel like a gaming experience, we sourced light-up video game controllers as décor and even added gaming lounges with TVs and video game consoles so attendees could play together between sessions. It wasn’t just an event—it was a fully immersive game.
Game On: The Conference Experience
Day one started with a high-energy general session, opening with a hype video we produced featuring the custom video game characters (because why just talk about leveling up when you can actually show it?). From there, attendees headed to breakouts before closing the night with a dinner cruise down the Chao Phraya River.

This was a breathtaking moment—floating past the Grand Palace, Wat Arun, and Wat Pho at sunset while enjoying traditional Thai dancers, dinner, and, of course, a little karaoke to wrap up the night. The biggest challenge? Getting to the boat early to transform it into a true Chargebee experience. But hey, a little extra work for that view? No complaints.
And the Winner Is… Awards Night
Day two was packed with more learning, collaboration, and breakouts, but the real highlight? The Awards Show.

We took the main ballroom and completely transformed it—scenic elements, lighting, fresh linens, and floral touches gave it a totally new vibe. It wasn’t just another session in the same space; it was a full-on celebration of Chargebee’s rockstars, and it felt every bit as special as it should.
The Grand Finale: Giving Back
By the final day, attendees had powered through keynotes, workshops, and one epic party after another, so we wanted to close things out on a meaningful note. Before heading home, everyone gathered for a humanitarian project, where they hand-assembled notebooks for local schoolchildren in Thailand. It was a simple but powerful way to give back, wrapping up the event with a sense of impact beyond the business world.
Mission Accomplished
From start to finish, this event was all about immersing attendees in an experience—one that reflected Chargebee’s brand, their team culture, and the excitement of leveling up in their roles, teams, and revenue.
Would we do it all over again? In a heartbeat. (But maybe after a nap.)
Until the next one! 🚀🎮
